40K Urban and Industrial Terrain

I thought that it was over… But no. 

I must admit I do love making terrain, and since some of my terrain was a little outdated, and of course the industrial GW terrain looks awesome, I decided to modernize so I can field buildings for 4 gaming tables.

It was quite an effort. Below some work in progress pictures and pictures of how it turned out (together with some old pieces of terrain): 

Until next summer I will focus on my new Primaris army, and no - it will not be The Ultramarines, but something radically different. Next summer I will finish my terrain project with 3 more buildings, and feeling compelled to clear out my last remaining bits, also build 2 more pieces of terrain…

Drukhari – Dark Eldar - Mandrakes

What to say – lovely models! Why I did not include them back in 2011 when I started my Dark Eldar/Drukhari army?  

Not a big fan of «Fine cast models» (these models would be such a god plastic kit), but the level of details is excellent. 

The «painting» of the Mandrake in the 9th. edition Codex caught my eye. I wanted them dark and sinister –a darkness lurking in the shadows. Enough said, this is how they turned out (sorry about the quality of the photos, my camera had difficulties focusing - because they were some – dark…).

Ultramarines – Cataphractii Terminator Squad - 1. Company completed

Finally! It must be approximately 3,5 years ago since I started my quest for building the whole of the Ultramarines 1. Company to complement my 2. Company that I finished a decade ago (although I have added more models during this time period).

All Ultramarines models are now finished, except the Forge World variant of Guilliman, which will be a side project. No Primaris models exists in my Ultramarines army, and I do not plan to add any. I feel the original model range suits the project that I started so long ago. Also, I experience fatigue painting and highlighting blue and gold. My upcoming Primaris project will therefore be from another chapter and a very different painting style.

My last squad will probably be used as a "bodyguard unit" to my Cataphractii 1. Company Terminator Captain. Maybe I will revisit the 1. Company adding more “Command models”, but not for a long time though. Enough said, this is how the last 5 models turned out.
